To add a song to a program, in the Presenter Window,

1.	Find the song you wish to add to the program.

2.	Click the Add-to-Program button.

3.	The Item Properties window will open showing you the verses available for the song. Select the verse slides you wish to use and their order, then click Save.*

4.	Next, the Slide Properties window will open. Here, you can select things like background, text layout, and others, or you can use the default settings. Click Apply / Close if you have made changes or Close if you are only using the default settings.*

5.	The song is now added to the program.

*These steps can be disabled. This is done by unchecking the Always open this window when adding a song to a program control. To re-enable either of these options, see below.

To present a song that is in a program, simply click the Present button next to the song item in the program.

To view the verses you selected for the song, click the Expand button next to the song. This will show you all the verse slides you selected for presentation.

To present a specific verse in an expanded song, click the Present button next to the verse.

Once a song is presented, you can also use the Next Step buttons to advance through the song.

Program Panel Settings

If steps 3 or 4 above are disabled and you want to re-enable them:

1.	Select the menu command Settings > Preferences. This will open the Preferences window.

2.	In left-side list, select Program Panel. This will show program panel settings to the right.

3.	Find the Open the Verse Order Selection Window When Adding Songs control and set it to Yes.

4.	Find the Open the Slide Properties Window When Adding Songs and Scripture control and set it to Yes.

5.	Click Save. Next time you add a song, the windows for these options will be used.

By default, only the verses that you selected will be shown in the expanded view of the song in the program panel. You can specify that verse not select also be shown in the program panel. To enable this option:

1.	Select the menu command Settings > Preferences. This will open the Preferences window.

2.	In left-side list, select Program Panel. This will show program panel settings to the right.

3.	Find the Show Verses/Slides That Are Not Included in the Verse/Slide Order control and set it to Yes.

4.	Click Save. You will now see that all verse slides will be shown in the program panel. Note that doing this will also affect slide shows in programs as well.

By default, all text for each slide is shown on a single line the program panel. If you would like to see text as multiple lines based on the line breaks in the text:

1.	Select the menu command Programs > Show > Multiline Text. Now slide text will occupy multiple lines. Note that this settings affects all media items in the program panel.

If you would like to see preview images of each song slide:

1.	Select the menu command Programs > Show > Slide Preview. A preview image of each slide will now appear in the program panel. Note that this setting affects all media items in the program panel.
