With the new technologies available, organizations are leveraging the internet to record, broadcast or stream their content to the web. This can be done a variety of way and the most popular is the use of software to manage and facilitate this process. One way to do this is to leverage alternate display hardware or connection.
For use with SongShow Plus, it is recommended that the NDI technology is used. NDI (Network Device Interface) is a high-performance standard that allows anyone to use real time, ultra-low latency video on existing IP video networks. If you are not familiar with the details on what is required for, or limitations of, using NDI with SongShow Plus, view this article. One common use case of NDI (Network Device Interface) in SongShow Plus is to facilitate live streaming or recording of content from one or more Output Windows for later use. GoFishMedia can provided purpose-built machines to accomplish this and does provide limited support for that setup.
If you are NOT able to use NDI in SongShow Plus to provide a source for your streaming software, it may still be possible to do this with your current configuration. In some cases, organization use specialized hardware that will emulate a physical display and send that signal to the device/machine that is running the streaming/capture software.
NOTE: Neither SongShow Plus Support nor GoFishMedia will provide support for your 3rd party recording/streaming devices, hardware (ATEM, DeckLink, etc) or software (vMix, WireCast, OBS, etc.) specifically. They can only provide assistance in establishing the supported output from SongShow Plus. Refer to your selected hardware/software support resources for additional information.
There are several ways that SongShow Plus can be configured to work as an input for other software for recording or streaming.
These require changes to the SongShow Plus Display Settings. Once complete, when content is presented in SSP, it should also appear wherever the selected Window Output is connected. Ways of testing this can vary depending on what your setup is like.
If you are not familiar with how to configure the Output Windows in SongShow Plus, refer to SSP109 BEFORE proceeding.
