SongShow Plus Display Settings - Presenter Window / Control

The main interface for SongShow Plus is the Presenter Control Window. The ability to designate where this appears is a crucial, but sometimes overlooked, tool for every user.  The Presenter Control Window is the starting point for nearly all interactions and is related to the designated Output Windows.  In most cases, this is configured correctly by default, however, there are instances where additional adjustments are needed.

NOTE: If you are not able to get all display connected and configured in Windows, DO NOT proceed to SSP setup - Consult your IT department or Hardware support resources for assistance. Refer to article SSP124 to get Windows setup correctly.   

NOTE: If you are not familiar with the types of Output Windows available, refer to article SSP109.

SongShow Plus display settings are used to configure where content is displayed, both externally and internally.  Outputs can go to an external display device (monitor/projector/etc) or used within the Presenter window only using the embedded Placement option.

SongShow Plus Display Settings - Presenter Window

• Presenter Window - By default, this will simply appear on the Windows display that has been designated as the "Main" display.  This would use the Standard Placement setting in the SSP Display Settings. If this is not appearing how or where it is expected, review the information below for options.
  

To set up the Presenter Window:

You need the following:

• SongShow Plus installed and activated
• A physical display as a target

As noted, by default it should appear in the designated main Windows display. If this does not happen or has changed, do the following:

1. Open SongShow Plus
2. From the main toolbar click on Settings > Display...
3. Select Presenter Window.
4. The default setting should have the following settings:
   1. Set Placement to Standard Placement
   2. Set Placement Area to Whole
   3. NOTE: All other settings will be ignored with these settings.
5. Close and re-open SongShow Plus.  If this does not resolve the issue, then go to the next section.

To force the Presenter Window to appear on a selected Windows display:

1. Determine which Windows display the Presenter Window should appear on.
2. Open SongShow Plus
3. From the main toolbar click on Settings > Display...
4. Select Presenter Window.
5. Change/Set the following settings:
   1. Set Placement to Display Device.
   2. Set Display Device to the Windows display selected in step 1.
   3. Set Placement Area to Whole
   4. NOTE: All other settings will be ignored with these settings.
6. Close and re-open SongShow Plus.  If this does not resolve the issue, contact support.
