* Ensure that you are using the most current build of SongShow Plus from the Download page for the best experience. *
Slide Properties are an integral part of SongShow Plus and can be used to change the look and feel of any (or all) of your content. To a further degree, the Song options and the use of various settings available to render the Song lyrics can be a useful tool.
The ability to change/set the options for the song parts in multiple ways can provide for a custom and dramatic result, but beware, random and unordered use of the song options can cause undesired and unexpected behavior.
Please use caution when applying Song options - choose a method and use it consistently.
One of the options for setting Song Slide Properties is to set text effects. This can add flair and capture the audience's attention during a song. In particular the Pan/Zoom effect can add interesting motion to your songs.
NOTE: This will show the basics. the "how" of your situation may be a bit more complicated since it may require some adjustments based on the amount of text used per slide and how long each slide is shown.
The starting point for this will be in the Global Slide Properties:
- From the main menu select Slide Properties > All Media > Song Text Style.
- Select the Lyrics tab.
- Select the Effects tab.
- Click Add Effect and select Pan/Zoom.
- Click the preset menu and select Zoom In.
This will be the starting point for setting up a Zoom Effect. After that you may need to adjust the settings so that it behaves the way you want to.
Suggested Adjustments:
- Start by making the following adjustments to the End Point.
- Set the End Point, Zoom to 5%. This adjustment is to make sure the words do not get pushed off the screen.
- Set the End Point Path Duration to a little longer that it takes to sing/cover the verse text, say 10 - 15 seconds.
- Uncheck the size options in the Font setting and start at a slightly smaller text size than was looks good on the screen. This will allow the text to start smaller and zoom in for effect without going completely off the screen.
Training Videos - A video walk-through of this process may be available. Depending on your current subscription level, you can go to the GoFishMedia website training page and log in with the same Customer ID and password that you use to log in to the SongShow Plus site or activate SongShow Plus.
