Slide Properties for Songs - How to edit or delete clear remove
Applicable SongShow Plus Versions:
This article applies to all versions of SongShow Plus
* Ensure that you are using the most current build of SongShow Plus from the Download page for the best experience. *
Slide Properties are an integral part of SongShow Plus and can be used to change the look and feel of any (or all) of your content. To a further degree, the Song options and the use of various settings available to render the Song lyrics can be a useful tool.
The ability to change/set the options for the song parts in multiple ways can provide for a custom and dramatic result, but beware, random and unordered use of the song options can cause undesired and unexpected behavior.
Please use caution when applying Song options - choose a method and use it consistently.
One of the options for setting Song Slide Properties is in the Song file itself. This can be helpful if there is a unique way that specific song should be displayed but it should *NOT* be the first choice for setting Song properties.
To either use (or clean up in most cases) Song Slide Properties:
- Launch SongShow Plus.
- Locate a song that is NOT following the Global slide properties. (either in a program or the song database).
- Right-click the song and from the menu select Edit Song (may be two steps if it is in the program - song > edit).
- Locate and select the Slide Properties tab in the Song file.
- If you want to ADD settings, select the options here. CAUTION - unless this is for a very specific purpose, it is not recommended to set properties here.
- If you want to REMOVE or clear the settings, right click where is says Property Groups and select Override None to clear all the check marks.
- Click the Save and Close button.
- Repeat as needed for other songs that are not following the Global Slide Properties as expected.
Training Videos - A video walk-through of this process may be available. Depending on your current subscription level, you can go to the GoFishMedia website training page and log in with the same Customer ID and password that you use to log in to the SongShow Plus site or activate SongShow Plus.
