SSP Website - User log in and Roles - Which one do I use?
This article applies to use of the SongShow Plus website.
In order to have the best experience with the features available on the SongShow Plus website, a user should be signed into the site using a personal user account associated with an organization (ORG) account that has a current subscription (Authenticated Subscriber).
Now that you have been invited and have redeemed your invitation to an organization (ORG), you need to be able to access different features. This will depend on what you are trying to do.
In many cases, organizations simply share the ORG account ID and password with the few users that are accessing the website and the available features. If this is the case, everything except posting to the Forum should be available.
As an Organization (ORG) Administrator, you will be responsible for inviting users and assigning the correct roles. This can be done from the ORG log in or a personal user account if you have given the appropriate roles.
As a User, once given access, it may be necessary to use the [switch] function (upper left corner) to change between your personal profile and the associated ORG profile. This will allow access based on assigned roles given by an administrator.
The following pages/features will behave differently depending on how you are logged in:
- Downloads - Need to select the ORG profile to Download.
- Account - User profile will only have User specific info shown and editable. Switching to ORG profile will show more info and allow org info to be edited if the User is given the appropriate roles.
- Store - Need to select the ORG profile to make a purchase. User must also be given the appropriate roles.
- Forums - Either can be selected to post to Forums.
- Drive - Need to select the ORG profile to access. User must also be given the appropriate roles.
- Sync - Need to select the ORG profile to access. User must also be given the appropriate roles.
- Mobile Control - Either can be selected to post to use Mobile Control. User must also be given the appropriate roles.
