Ease-of-use at men's retreat

4/3/2006  < Previous  Next >

This last weekend I attended a men's retreat in Cascade, Idaho. The guys in the worship band at our church (which includes me) served as the worship band at the retreat. We used SSP, of course, but since I was playing keyboard, we needed someone else to run the SSP Machine.

Our sound guy, who is a recent addition to our team, volunteered to run the machine. He had never used SSP before. We were short on time, so I booted up the machine, launched SSP, loaded the program, and said, "there you go, I think you can figure it out." He did, and did so quite quickly. That pleased him. Since we don't typically use verse sequencing, he liked being able to preview the lyrics of songs before presenting them.
