Feature Preview: Audio Track per Slide
4/20/2012 < Previous Next >
The next edition of SongShow Plus will include a new feature that lets you specify audio tracks for individual slides within a slide show. Previously, you could only specify one audio track that would be played for the duration of the entire slide show. With this new feature, each slide can have it's own audio track that automatically plays when the slide is presented. You can still specify an slide show audio track that plays at the same time, if you wish.
One thing to note is that a slide's presentation time will be automatically increased to accommodate the length of it's audio track. If you are using an auto-advancing slide show, and have a slide length of five seconds, but also have an audio track for the slide that lasts ten seconds, the amount of time that the slide is presented will actually be ten seconds, not five. This was done based on the assumption that if you have an audio track for a slide, you will want to hear the entire audio track, so the slide time automatically accommodates that.
On a related note, slide show audio tracks will now play even if the slide show is not set to automatically advance. Previously, audio tracks for slide shows were only supported on auto-advancing slide shows.
