In Action: Savor The Season
A few weeks ago, our church started a new series with a theme of Savor the Season. We asked one of our members to build the theme slide for each week of the series. We wanted to have a little motion involved with the theme slide, but our in-house artist's experience is primarily with PhotoShop. No problem -- we make things interesting using the capabilities of SongShow Plus.
Here is what one of the theme slides looks like straight from PhotoShop:
After enhancing in SongShow Plus, here is a video rendition of what we ended up with:
Note that we did not actually use a video, what you are seeing above is what a single slide can look like when one of the Cinematic Effects is added to it.
First, I asked to be sent certain elements of the slide as separate images. Below you are the background JPEG image, followed by the two text parts that were provided as a PNG image with transparency.
The text parts were then placed on the slide. After that, I brightened them up a bit, then added the Bevel with Flyby Light effect. This is a looping effect that will create the appearance of a moving light across the text.
This simple process shows how easy it is to go from a static slide to something with a little more life without the need to render a video file.
