Farewell Tim

Tonight I watched the video stream from the ChurchMedia.net conference. This evening's service featured the handoff of the CMN site from Tim Eason over to Phil Graves and Dan Roth. (CMN's press release)
Under Tim's direction, the ChurchMedia.net has become, arguably, the largest on-line community for church media related topics. Many have found the site and the relationships built there to be valuable.
I became acquainted with Tim early on when he brought SSP in as a product on his site. He later had a brief stint with Digital Juice, and a collaboration with us which resulted in the small collection images that we still provide today.
Tim considered selling the site a time or two in the past. The physical problems he's battled for the last few years haven't made it easy, and I'm amazed that he kept up with the site. However, I also never really believed he'd let it go.
(Perhaps it was having to mediate and diffuse the various "software wars" that would get going that finally pushed him over they edge ;-)
It will seem odd have a ChurchMedia.net without Tim. He'll be missed.
