Import a plan from Planning Center Online

If your church has a Planning Center Online account, you can import plans from that account directly into a SongShow Plus program. During this process, you can also download and import song lyrics. To do this, your machine will need to have an Internet connection and a current SongShow Plus Upgrade Service subscription.

 

How to import an plan from Planning Center Online:

 

1.Select File > Import Program from > Planning Center Online. This will open the Planning Center Online Plan Importer window.
2.The first time you open this window, you will need to sign in to Planning Center Online. Click the Sign In to Planning Center Online button to do this. This will open the Planning Center Online Authorization window. Follow the instructions to Authorize Account.
3.You will see a list of all plans that are available grouped by Service Type. Select the plan you want to import then click Edit Plan.
4.You will be taken to a page that shows each item of the plan.        
a.For any item that is a song, you can select which song in the SongShow Plus database to use for the program item. To do this, click the down-arrow under the Content column, then select the Select Song menu item. This will open the Select Document or File window.
i.If the song item has been previously imported into SongShow Plus, you can select it without the need to import it again.
1.Click the SongShow Plus / Song Database item on the left then search for the song by name. If the song item in Planning Center Online has a CCLI song number and the previously imported song also has a CCLI song number, then the song will automatically found by the search mechanism. You will notice this by seeing the CCLI song number in the search field (example: #123456).
2.Select the song you want to use then click the Select button. You will return to the plan import window.
ii.If the song has not been previously imported, you can import the song from SongSelect® if you have a SongSelect subscription.
1.If you have not already linked your SongSelect account to SongShow Plus, click Use Another Account. This will open the Select Service window. Select SongSelect then click the Select button, then follow the instructions to Authorize Account.
2.If you previously linked your SongSelect account to SongShow Plus, click the SongSelect option on the left.
3.Search for the song by name. If Planning Center Online provided a CCLI song number, that will be used to find the specific song you need to import.
4.Select the song you want to use then click the Select button. You will return to the plan import window.
iii.If the song has not been previously imported and it has an attached PDF file in Planning Center Online, you can use the PDF import tool to import the song.
1.In the list on the left, look for the name of the item with the caption "Plan Item" below it.
2.If there is a PDF document, you can click on it in the box on the right and follow the import process.
b.For any item that is an audio file you can select which file to use for the item. To do this, click the down-arrow under the Content column, then select the Select Audio File menu item. This will open the Select Document or File window.
i.If the file you want to use has already been imported into SongShow Plus, you can use it without importing it again.
1.Click on the Audio Files item in the list on the left. This will open the search panel on the right.
2.Use the search panel to fine the audio file you want to use. Once you find it, select it.
3.Click the Select button.
ii.If the audio file has not been previously imported but is attached to the plan item, you can download it from Planning Center Online as part of the import process.
1.In the list on the left, look for the name of the item with the caption "Plan Item" below it and click on it. This will show a list of all audio files attached to that plan item.
2.Select the audio file you want to use.
3.Click the Select button.
c.For any item that is an video file you can select which file to use for the item. To do this, click the down-arrow under the Content column, then select the Select Video File menu item. This will open the Select Document or File window.
i.If the file you want to use has already been imported into SongShow Plus, you can use it without importing it again.
1.Click on the Video Files item in the list on the left. This will open the search panel on the right.
2.Use the search panel to fine the video file you want to use. Once you find it, select it.
3.Click the Select button.
ii.If the video file has not been previously imported but is attached to the plan item, you can download it from Planning Center Online as part of the import process.
1.In the list on the left, look for the name of the item with the caption "Plan Item" below it and click on it. This will show a list of all video files attached to that plan item.
2.Select the video file you want to use.
3.Click the Select button.
d.For any item that is an image file you can select which file to use for the item. To do this, click the down-arrow under the Content column, then select the Select Image File menu item. This will open the Select Document or File window.
i.If the file you want to use has already been imported into SongShow Plus, you can use it without importing it again.
1.Click on the Image Files item in the list on the left. This will open the search panel on the right.
2.Use the search panel to fine the image file you want to use. Once you find it, select it.
3.Click the Select button.
ii.If the image file has not been previously imported but is attached to the plan item, you can download it from Planning Center Online as part of the import process.
1.In the list on the left, look for the name of the item with the caption "Plan Item" below it and click on it. This will show a list of all image files attached to that plan item.
2.Select the image file you want to use.
3.Click the Select button.
5.After selecting setting the content for each program item, click Perform Import. This will import the plan as a program as well as any content that needs to be imported as well. When the program has been imported, you will see a status of what items were included.
6.Click Close. You will be asked if you want to open the imported program.
