Activation - Machine stuck in an activation loop - will not stay activated.

This article applies to all SongShow Plus 9.x and later versions.
Symptom:
When initially activating a license on a machine, after a restart it appears to need activation again. Each restart the user is prompted to activate.
Possible Cause:
Issue with local application of the license file.
Possible Solution:
If this occurs, deactivate license BEFORE restarting SongShow Plus.
- From the initial activation prompt, activate normally.
- Once activation is complete, SongShow Plus will restart automatically - DO NOT CLOSE.
- From the main toolbar select License > Deactivate.
- Follow the prompts to deactivate the license. This will remove the license from the local machine and reset the license on the server side.
- After this is complete, activate system normally selecting the same license.
- Close and restart SongShow Plus several times to ensure license was applied correctly.
