Activation - Machine stuck in an activation loop - will not stay activated.

Applicable SongShow Plus Versions: 
This article applies to all SongShow Plus 9.x and later versions.

Symptom:
When initially activating a license on a machine, after a restart it appears to need activation again.  Each restart the user is prompted to activate.

Possible Cause: 
Issue with local application of the license file.

Possible Solution: 
If this occurs, deactivate license BEFORE restarting SongShow Plus.

  1. From the initial activation prompt, activate normally.
  2. Once activation is complete, SongShow Plus will restart automatically - DO NOT CLOSE. 
  3. From the main toolbar select License > Deactivate.
  4. Follow the prompts to deactivate the license.  This will remove the license from the local machine and reset the license on the server side.
  5. After this is complete, activate system normally selecting the same license.
  6. Close and restart SongShow Plus several times to ensure license was applied correctly.
