Color Search will not find items on a network location

Symptom:
There are no results when searching items by color in the database panels when the SSP folders have been moved to a network location. 

Possible Cause:
The windows component used for indexing items in Color Search, Window Desktop Search, does not index network locations.

Possible Solution:
At this time we are not aware of a solution for this issue.
