Keyboard Navigation Mode - Remote or wireless device is no longer advancing slides after update

Applicable SongShow Plus Versions: 
This article applies to all versions of SongShow Plus August 2011 and later.

Symptom:
After the update to the August 2011 Edition of SongShow Plus, some devices used for advancing slides have stopped working as expected.

Possible Cause:
The August 2011 Edition of SongShow Plus includes a new feature called the Keyboard Navigation Mode that when invoked places SSP in a mode where all keyboard controls are targeted at the control panel.  A side effect of this is that outside of this mode previous commands from devices that found their way to the control panel under certain circumstances no longer do.

Possible Solution:
Invoke the Keyboard Navigation Mode when controlling SongShow Plus with keystrokes or devices that emulate keystrokes.

• From the main toolbar select Tools > Keyboard Navigation Mode. 
• Once invoked, SongShow Plus will no longer respond to mouse input until the Close button is clicked.
