Certain characters disappear when exiting the SSB text editor

Symptom:
Some characters disappear when exiting the SSB text editor.  It appears that when characters with accents such as ê or ë are used in a text box they will disappear when the edit window is closed if it is the last character.   If all the characters in the line are special characters they will all disappear.  There may be other special characters that behave this way.

Possible Cause:
Root cause is unknown at this time but may have to do with the special nature of the characters.

Possible Solution:
It has been found that including a blank space or other standard character after one of the special characters, it will prevent them from disappearing.
