How do I activate SongShow Plus version 8 for non-evaluation use?

 NOTE: ALL 8.x Versions of SongShow Plus require Offline Activation.  Please contact the Support Team for assistance.  If you want to update to the latest version instead refer to this article, otherwise if you really want to activate your 8.x or earlier installation, please follow the instructions below.   


You will need to know the following to successfully activate a SongShow Plus license:

  • Your organization's Customer Account ID and password (to acquire the license). If you need help finding this, refer to FAQ010.
  • Local system administrator rights (to apply the license) for the machine you are activating.

NOTE: This process assumes that your organization has at least one available license.  If that is not the case, contact the Support Team.

If you need to activate SongShow Plus and you are using an older version (v8.5 or earlier), or if your computer is not connected to the Internet, please follow the steps below.

  1. Launch SongShow Plus and click Next 
  2. Select "I have received an Unlock Code" (option E) 
  3. Right-click the Machine Key and select Copy, then paste it into a reply to this email (DO NOT send a screenshot of the key as it cannot be copied from an image)

The other information we will need to know is what version of SSP you are activating (e.g. 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, 8.5 etc.). Lastly, if you have more than one license, please provide the name of the license you would like to use. If you do not know what the license name is follow these steps.

  1. Go to www.songshowplus.com and click sign in 
  2. Enter your Customer ID and Password (your current postal code is the default password).
  3. Locate the Account tab on the left and click it.
  4. Scroll down to Desktop Products and click Show Details in the section you want to activate from (Projection or Workstation).
  5. From here you can see your available licenses (e.g. Main, Corporate, Youth, Corporate, etc.)

Once we receive your Machine Key, the version that you are activating, and the license you wish to use we can create an unlock code to activate your license.
