The next edition of SSP, the July 2008 Edition, has been released to internal testing. The public beta version is expected to be released mid-July. The following features are confirmed for this new edition:
- The capability to add video objects to slide shows. This means being able to place a video that will play, with the audio track unmuted, on a slide. Along with this, a new Video Sequence Builder has been added that will let you build a slide show that contains a mix of videos and still images. Perfect for the church that uses both videos and stills that they've built in-house for use in announcements.
- For the Professional Level license, a new set of hue-based effects that will let you adjust videos and images using the HSL color space.
- For those with a CinFX license, five new cinematic effects have been added: Edge Blend, Edge Blur, Shake, Grain, and a Pan / Zoom effect. That later is a much more powerful implementation of what was provided with the Pan / Zoom motion background.
- The Photo Slides builders have been enhanced to let you easily add effects like grayscale, sepia, pan / zoom, and edge blend to your photo slide show.
There may be more, but this list is what is confirmed for now.
