Version 8.2 > Windows 10 and songshow

Has anyone updated to windows 10 and had no issues with songshow?
With the computer virus wiping everything out I am in the process of rebuilding and windows just tried to do an automatic update to windows 10 because I hadn't turned that off yet. I stopped it but I wondered if it was something I could just update now instead of waiting for the next version of songshow since all the other computers at church are already on Windows 10

You have probably already made a decision but...
We are running with Windows 10 and have not had any issues with SSP on Windows 10.
The only issues we have had are with some of the bugs that still exist with the OS.
I would recommend running the Pro version so that you can completely disable automatic updates if you are connected to the internet. If you don't want the added cost of the professional version you can always set your network connection to 'metered' and updates will not be downloaded on that network.

I'm hoping 8.3 with it's official Windows 10 support will be out before the Windows 10 free upgrade offer ends on July 29.

I've been running SongShow with Win 10 since Win 10 came out and have not had any troubles whatsoever. I allow automatic updates as well. No issues. None. Time to upgrade!

Any update on the final release of 8.3 please Joel?
July 29 is looming and I'm wondering whether I'll be ok upgrading to 10 with 8.2 or is V 8.4.1.20628.2 going to be ok?

I don't have any inside scoop on when 8.3 will be out.
I can tell you that I've been using 8.2 on windows 10 on my personal laptop that I use to create an ssprog every week (which I package and take to church) and I have not experienced any problems. But I've not done any extensive projection sessions with it.

I am updating to Windows 10 today. The free version for most is done but there is still a way to get the free version and I want to do it before I have to end up paying for it!! Fingers crossed

I think you missed it.
"The free Windows 10 upgrade offer for devices running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 ended on July 29, 2016. A discounted "upgraded" version of Windows 10 isn't available."

Actually I did find lots of articles that state you can still do an upgrade by using an "accessibility hack" but even better, they are saying you can do a clean install of the Windows 10 1607 (AU version) using a Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 key. It just assigns you a digital license as though you upgraded without the hassle of the upgrade process...
Neat Huh?
No word on when that will stop working though....

I missed the free upgrade but like already said I was able to upgrade by saying I use assistive technologies. Which they don't actually ask if you use. A grey area maybe or definitely?
I found it at this link

So far no issues besides not recognizing the second monitor but it still worked for Sunday so I am here now seeing if it is an easy fix
