That looks great.

We don't do a lot of this, but when we do, this will certianly beat the futzing around we had to do before to place the animated text in the right spots.

For me, your timing is perfect on this one! We had a pastor (long ago) that routinely handed out outlines w/ blanks and wanted the screen to fill-in as he made the points. One of his understudies is now our pastor and he has begun to do this, though he never asked to have the screen animate the filling in of the blanks. I have simply been doing a fly-in animation for each point, all of the text including the underlined fill-in.. but this will be much better!

Thank you, thank you!! This is going to be great. I project a sermon outline for three sermons each week. I have used the mulitple text object and mulitple sides to accomplish what this new feature does. I could make it work but not without much trial and error and a lot time involved. Because of the difficulity I went back to building the outline with animation on the whole bullet point with the key words underlined. The Fill-in-the-Blank Animation will be a tremendous time saver and frustration reliever plus it will deliver the desired result for those who like to use outlines.

How will two words next to each other work?

Will it depend on whether they were selected and underlined together or in two different selections?

e.g. All we like sheep have gone astray
vs. All we like sheep have gone astray

Will we be able to reorder what order the blanks are filled in? (I'm not sure how useful that would be. Just curious.)

I can't speak to how it is implemented, but I can tell you each Pastor I have worked with that provided 'fill-in-the-blanks' sheets in the bulletin simply states each phrase during the course of the message, whether it contains one or multiple blanks, then elaborates on the point (not the blanks). Except for maybe a "Please follow along with the sheet provided" comment at the beginning of the message, the blanks or key words are never explicitly mentioned, the pastor just speaks as he works his way though the outline.

So what I would like to see is each blank in a single bullet point (if there are more than one) be filled in with a single key stroke. Using your example, our Pastors would never talk to "gone" followed by "astray" he would likely say the phrase as is, then talk to it.

Everything within a continuous underline is animated at the same time. So, gone astray is a single animation, gone astray. Would be separate animations. There is no option for ordering the animations.

Someday, it would be lovely to be able to do this without the underline showing on screen. For some years now, we have done filled blanks without underlining. Graphically, the slide looks cleaner when we set off key words with bold, or color, rather than underlining. We don't use numbers or bullets, either, but I believe that will work fine with the new commands.

Interesting idea. That wouldn't bee too hard to implement, but I do wonder if adding such options tend to confuse people.

Yeah, I figured that out.

Can't wait, but I'm not running "preview" software at a national conference. 8-)
