You are checking out the Preview version of SongShow Plus 9.0.
The first preview release of SongShow Plus version 9.0 is now available from the Downloads page on the SongShow Plus site. You must have a current subscription and be logged in to the SongShow Plus site to get this download.
This is a Preview release, which means that it isn't at "test" status yet. The purpose of the release is to let you have a look at the new features and offer feedback. It's not necessary to report every little problem you find. We are still working through bugs and defects. However, if you are having a significant problem using a feature, go ahead and post a question about it on this forum. If you have a question or comment, please start a new thread.
There has been a small but important change to the activation process for previews that will make it even easier for you to evaluate the latest features available in SongShow Plus.
As always, the SongShow Plus 9.0 version is installed separately without the need to uninstall 8.5 or worry about your source files - that has not changed.
As far as activating 9.0 - Now you don't have to do that during the preview phase.
Just ensure that you have the current version of 8.5 installed and activated on the same machine you install 9.0 and that your subscription is also current.
As long as these conditions are met, no activation process for the 9.0 preview release is needed and you can go immediately to exploring 9.0 as soon as it is installed.
NOTE: Make sure that 8.5 is installed and activated BEFORE you install 9.0 or you may encounter an installer error when installing 8.5 after 9.0 is already installed. If this occurs, uninstalling 9.0, installing 8.5 and activating, then re-installing 9.0 will resolve the issue.
SongShow Plus 9.0 licenses will be issued when the product goes to production.

- Support for higher bitrate videos
- Support for higher resolution (4K) videos
- Native support for H.264 (no additional plug-in required)
Note: These new features are presently only available for Windows 10.
- Improved slide show merging: Now avoids making duplicate slide properties.
- Support for scanner devices re-implemented.
- Can now rotate and crop while importing an image from a scanner.
- Rotation support for images in programs.
- Crop and rotate functions now together in slide builder for images.
- Alternate UI theme options for the presentation control window - Dark Modes available.
- Support for third-party song database sources such as the Windows version of SongSelect (long dropped by CCLI), etc.
- 8.3 Mobile Control App support. (8.4/8.5 Mobile Control apps are still supported.)
