Are there any plans to implement a feathering function for this feature?

This is a much welcomed feature. The competing program that I had tried had nothing like transparent color (that I was aware of) so I always appreciated it is SSP.. but it was kind of a pain to use. I always converted my images to TIFs or GIFs before using it because it didn't work so well with JPGs (I assume because of the lossy compression). This should help a lot.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by a feathering function. We have discusseded the idea of having the the alpha-channel value ramp based on the distance the color is from the key-color. Presently, the alpha-channel value is set to 0 if there is any match in the color-key. Is that what you are referring to?

I guess so, I'm kinda looking for the same type effects you'd do in Adobe After Effects, where you can feather the edge of the key, which looks much better than a hard sharp key in some instances.

I just used this to key out the black background of a flame video to add motion to the torch in our logo. Cranked it up and I was able to really clean it up much better than when I did it last year.
