I will share this in more detail in a few days, but in short, we've built preliminary browser-based interfaces for iPod/iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.

Will SSB's Ctrl+N (insert option) be restored, even if it is a different letter? This is a pretty big deal for me.

Update: The October Edition is delayed. To handle a couple of the new features, significant changes have been made under the hood. We just started testing the Octiber Edition this week and it was apparent that it was not ready for a beta release. I expect that the first beta release will be posted sometime in the first half of next month.

Late is OK, just make sure it's not a Thanksgiving TURKEY

We try to have beta test releases that could be potentially a final release. Its a lofty goal and rarely pans out, but it does motivate us to weed out the most egregious problems. Realistically, at this point, I expect the first beta release to be out this week or next, with a formal release occuring mid-December.

Any updates on beta version of October 2010 edition?

Also, please don't take this as a jab, but I have noticed since 2008, each year has had 1 less major update according to the date updated not the name of the update. 2008 had 4, 2009 had 3 & 2010 has only had 2 major updates thus far & it appears that the October 2010 edition might not make release until 2011. Is this a cycle that SSP is adopting to place only 1 or 2 major updates per year or am I a conspiracy theorist?

The October 2010 Edition will be avialable to anyone who had a subscription through October regardless of when it finally makes it out of beta testing which makes four upgrades within a year of such a subscriber.
