I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, but our MD likes to mix How Great is Our God (Chris Tomlin, Ed Cash, Jesse Reeves) with the chorus of How Great Thou Art. Lately we have just been ending the song with How Great Thou Art chorus x2, but we started with V1, C, V2, C, B, B, HGTACx2, C.

That's a good one too. We've used that arrangement several times.

I think one of the first "rearranged" hymns I heard was in the early Promise Keepers days when we sang Rise Up, O Men of God with a new chorus added.

Besides, of course, all the Amazing Grace retunes (e.g. Gilligian's Island, Peaceful Easy Feeling, etc).
