Cool beans. This might really work well in our Christmas Eve service.

It looks cool but I haven't figured out how to make it work.

If you've installed the October 2007 Edition release that was posted this week, and you ensured that the Christmas Goodies plug-in is installed and updated, then you should notice in the list of transitions one named Christmas Ornaments.

I did that by installing the full 11/29/07 edition. When I check the Christmas Ornaments transition all I get is a fade. The dot doesn't appear next to it either like it does when I choose a different transition.
Is the demo slide show that is on You tube part of our package? I haven't been able to find it in the demo slide shows so I could see if I'm not doing something correctly.

This slideshow from the example is not included but you should be able to get it to work just the same....
You can try selecting Christmas Ornaments under global transitions to get it to work but you can select it for an individual item just like any other transitions. If the custom settings are not used it simply randomizes the selections.
Give support a shout if you continue to have issues...

Thanks George. I got it working after I figured out that the tree and ornaments were part of the transition.

Ya gotta slow it down to get it to look like anything. 3-4 seconds or even more.

I used Christmas Ornaments this morning for our announcements and it really added some interest. It got me thinking that it is too bad it can only be used for Christmas. I suggest that you use the same program and replace the tree with a bulletin board with sticky notes. Or maybe a computer screen with program icons. Others probably can come up some good ideas to make this useable all year long.
More (after) thoughts: Easter ducks, bunnies, etc. and how about the 4th of July with bursting fireworks? This thing has great potential!

We, too, used it four our announcement loop. Worked well.

We have been using it now for a couple of weeks. Most people liked it. One of the operators said it took too long to get from a blank slide to any one of the announcement slides.
I like akins idea for multiple uses. If that kind of transition becomes popular then I would probably end up having two slide shows... one with the cool transition and the other show with just a fade transition for when someone needs to bring up a slide fast.

I like the idea of other uses, but I think it could be overused easily.
Another fun transition would be to put the frame of a television set around the screen and then have a hand with a remote control come up and "change the channel" to go to the next image or video.

The remote idea has lots of possibilities, Joel. How about giving the pastor a dummy remote and every time he clicks it you could change the scene! Maybe throw in a football game for laughs.
I understand the point about over-use, but that would be up to the user. As it is now, as only a Christmas format, the user is forced to under-use it. Anyway I hope Dreece and the other elves will consider some additions.
