General

Title

Use this field to enter the title of the song. Note that as of this version of SongShow Plus, song titles must be unique. Since some songs do go by the same name, you will need to enter additional content to the title to ensure uniqueness. This is typically accomplished by including the author's last name in parenthesis, or some other identifying information in parenthesis. Note also that SongShow Plus does not include title contents contained within the parenthesis when the song is presented.

Author

Use this field to enter the author or authors of the song.

Copyright

Use this field to enter the copyright information of the song.

CCLI Song ID

Use this field to enter the CCLI Song ID for the song. Note that this is not the same as your CCLI License Number. The Song ID is unique to each song cataloged by CCLI. When you import song content from SongSelect®, this information is automatically included.

Reference

Use this field to enter information associated with the song. One use for this could be a scripture reference associated with the song. This information can be presented on the screen along with the song.

Song No.

Use this field to enter the song number of the song. The typical use for this field is to associate the song number of the song within a physical song book that your congregation uses along with projection. This information can then be presented on the screen along with the song.

 

Lyrics

Add Song Part

Use this control to add a song part to the song (Verse 1, Verse 2, Chorus, etc.).

Part Label

Use this control to change the label of the selected song part in the Parts control.

Parts

This control contains the list of song parts of the song. Within this list you can select a song part to edit its contents (using the control to the right), to edit the song part label (using the Label control), or to delete the song part (using the delete key).

Part Contents

Use this control to enter and edit the text of a song part.

 

Order

Typical Verse Order

This is the list of parts that are typically used for the song and the order in which the occur. In this control, you can move and delete parts.

Parts

This is the list of the song's parts. In this control you can select parts and add them to the Typical Verse Order list.

 

Key/Tempo

Keys

Use this control to specify the keys for which the song can be played. Typically, these will be the keys for which you have the songs in printed form.

Key Range (Low/High):

Use these controls to specify the range of singable keys the song can be sung in. This information is useful if you have the capability to play a song in any key, but need to ensure that you select a key that is actually singable by the general congregation.

Minor Key

Check this control if the song is actually in a minor key.

Tempo

Use this field to specify the general tempo of the song.

 

Themes

Songs Themes

This is the list of themes that this song is associated with. Within this control you can delete themes that have been previously assigned to the song.

Available Themes

This is a list of all available themes. Use this control to find then add themes to a song.

 

Notes

Use this control to enter miscellaneous notes you have about the song.

 

Slide Properties

On this page you can specify slide properties that will be used by default by the song. These properties override the slide properties set at the default and program levels. They can, however, be overridden by a program item slide properties.

 

Slide Shows

If the standard slide properties available to songs do not provide the capabilities you want for a specific song, you can build a slide show with the contents of the song, then associate that slide show with the song. Then, when you add a song to a program, you will asked if you instead want to use the pre-made slide show.

This is the list of pre-made slide shows that you can use when presenting this song.

Add

Click this button to select a slide show to associate with the song.

Delete

Click this button to remove the selected slide show from the list.

Edit

Click this button to edit the selected slide show.

 

Audio Files

You can associate one or more audio files with a song. If you wish to play an audio file when a song is presented, adding the files to this list will make it easier to then select an audio file when the song is added to a program.

This is a list of audio files associated with this song.

Add

Click this button to select an audio files to associate with the song.

Delete

Click this button to remove the selected audio file from the list.

 

Import From

Use this control to import song content from various sources.

 

Spell Check

Click this button to run the spell check on the lyrics content.

 

Mix Case

Click this button to convert lyrics content that is in all caps to mixed case.

 

Upper Case

Click this button to convert lyrics content to all upper case.

 

Place in ShortList

Check this control if you want the song to be in the ShortList filter.
