NVIDIA Graphics Cards and temporary system freeze

This article applies to all versions of SongShow Plus prior to the April 2007 release.

Some NVIDIA Graphics cards have been found to have an issue resulting in random instability with video playback within SSP versions PRIOR to the April Edition Release that may cause the system to freeze (video stops and mouse/keyboard will not respond) for a brief time.

This freeze appears to occur mostly during transitions between videos and has been observed in slide shows as well as within a standard program. In our testing this has been observed with the 7xxx series cards and the 6xxx series cards with drivers later than 84.21. The 5xxx and 8xxx series cards have not been tested at this time.

This issue has been addressed with the April Edition Release and if you are using SSP versions PRIOR to the April Edition Release, we recommend that you update immediately.
